Ruthanne Marchiani Crawford (née Phillips), age 75, passed away on December 12, 2025. Raised in Parkside, PA, Ruthanne was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1968. She raised her family in Chichester and most recently resided in Rutledge, PA. Ruthanne was one of the owners and operators of Marchiani Catering from the late 1970s until 2003, when the business closed. Through her work, she became well known for her dedication, hospitality, and strong work ethic. She loved the beach in all its forms and spent countless days at Sandy Hook, New Jersey. Jamaica held a special place in her heart, which she visited more than 30 times and where she was married. Ruthanne enjoyed collecting sea glass, watching soap operas, listening to Christmas music, and attending summer outdoor concerts. When not at the beach, she loved traveling to see covered bridges, lighthouses, and taking scenic tourist train rides. Above all else, Ruthanne treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Being with them brought her the greatest joy and happiness.


She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (née Wilkie) Phillips and the beloved mother of the late Michael Marchiani and Anna Marie Kates-Paulus.

Ruthanne is survived by her husband, James Crawford; her son, Chris Marchiani and his wife Lisa Marchiani (née Newmiller); her son-in-law, Deano Kates-Paulus; her brother, Charles Phillips; and her grandchildren, Miranda and Megan Marchiani, and Kyler and Katerie Kates-Paulus.

Visitation: Monday, December 22, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014
