Sandra Burkle, age 88, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at her home in Wilmington, DE. Sandra was born and raised in North Carolina before moving to Philadelphia, PA, as a teenager. She went on to graduate from Bartram High School, Class of 1954. In her early years she worked as a Typist for Chilton Printing and more recently worked at Betty's Children Shop. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, and dancing. She was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Sandra was the daughter of the late John D. Johnson and Agnes Godalla, sister of the late Charles Johnson, Gwendolyn Long, and Steven Godalla, and wife of the late Raymond H. Burkle.

Survivors: Children: Gary Burkle (Susan) and Sheri Ryan (Dennis). Grandchildren: Ashley Purcell (Ryan), Raymond Burkle (Laura), Gregory DePutron (Andrea), Michelle Guenther (Jonathan), and Stephanie Spiden (Ryan). Sandra is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
