1936 - 2015

Shirley M. Cox, age 79, of Boothwyn, passed away May 24, 2015 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Shirley was born in Chester and raised in Boothwyn by the late George & Wilhelmina (Degnan) Milnes. She was a 1955 graduate of Upper Chichester High School and was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church. Shirley actively supported the Chichester High School Marching Band in the 1970's, enjoyed time spent with her family at the shore and special weekly outings with her sisters. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death in 2010 by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth "Joe" Cox, and siblings George & Henry Milnes and Dorothy Koontz. Her survivors include children Catherine Hangholt, Christine (Dan) Condiles, sister Barbara Dobrowolski, grandchildren Father Anthony Hangholt, Carina, Annalee and Jaden Condiles as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 8:30-10:15am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00am at Holy Savior Church, 108 E. Ridge Road, Linwood.

Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
