1964 - 2015

Shirley J. DeMore (nee Vanore), age 50 , passed away Wednesday May 6, 2015 peacefully at home with courage and grace surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was a longtime resident of Marcus Hook and a graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 1983, where she was active in their marching band. Shirley was employed by Philadelphia Energy Solutions as a Turnaround Administrative Assistant.

Family and friends were Shirley's passion and delight. Her generosity and kind heart was

such an inspiration to others. Shirley was as feisty as she was gentle and as forthright as she was tactful. Her loyalty was fierce and her laughter and smile were infectious.

Shirley always opened her home to countless visitors, family members and friends. Shirley had many hobbies but her favorite was spending time with her family and granddaughter, MiaBella. She also enjoyed photography, cooking and gardening.

Shirley did not lose her battle with cancer. She lived graciously and courageously with it until the very end. In many, many ways, by inspiring and teaching others her story of strength and courage.

SURVIVORS: Parents: Michael Vanore and Carol Holland; Children: Robert F. DeMore, III (Olivia) and Samantha Eastburn (Benjamin); Sisters: Deborah Brady (Tom) and Louise Wisniewski; Granddaughter: MiaBella Eastburn; Longtime Best Friend: Dawn Coale; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

VISITATION: Monday from 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 10:30-11:15am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA.

BURIAL: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
