Shirley J. (Anderson) Mellen, age 85, a resident of Media passed away on October 9, 2017. Shirley resided for many years in Lansing, MI before moving to Lincoln, DE. Mrs. Mellen loved spending time with her family and her dog, "Play Boy". Shirley enjoyed being by the beach and water, gardening, reading and crocheting. She attended Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in Aston.

She was the wife of the late Al Mellen who died in 2014.

SURVIVORS: Her son: Jerry A. Mellen (Pam), her daughter: Sherri Mellen (Catherine), her 2 granddaughters: Kimberly Schukraft (Stephen) and Stacey Frinzi (Matt), and her 2 great granddaughters: Abigail and Olivia Schukraft.
