Shirley Ann (Thurman) Sweet, of Glen Mills, PA, born July 5, 1936 in Warren, Ohio, departed this life on September 27, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Shirley was both a homemaker and employed as a bookkeeper/accountant, primarily for RGS Enterprises, the family's Arby's business. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Raymond Thurman (1959) and Evelyn Simbold Thurman Wibert (2000), her beloved husband of 62 years, Richard (2016), her sons James (2009) and Michael (1991), and her grandson Zachary Sweet (2019). She is survived by her brother Ron Thurman (Warren, Ohio) and her sister-in-law, Patricia McLean (Warren, Ohio). She is sadly missed by her son Brian, of Lewes, DE, her daughters, Kimberly Sweet Denning (Bobby) of Kennett Square, PA and Kristi Sweet Welsh (Roger Jr.), of Oxford, PA, and her daughter-in-law, (Sandi). She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Robert Denning (Quinn), Kara Oboodi (Bobby), Shawn Denning, Brandon Denning (Chelsea Guina), Roger J. Welsh III (Erin Erskine), Jimmy Sweet, Dan Sweet, Evie Sweet-Ryan (Stefan) and Tim Sweet (Courtney). She was also blessed with six great grandchildren: Ivy Denning, Robert J. Denning IV ("Bear"), Noble Denning, Magnolia Denning, Piper Sweet, and Vaeda Oboodi. She is also survived by a niece and nephews, and a close circle of dear friends.
