Sophia A. (Hansell) Parkhurst, age 93 , a longtime resident of Boothwyn, PA passed away on September 18,2021 peacefully in her sleep. Sophia was raised in West Philadelphia and graduated from Overbrook High School.

Sophia was employed by IVB Bank in Springfield, Pa and then Fidelity Bank in Ridley Park. She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Sophia especially loved her time spent in Wildwood, NJ with her family!

She was the daughter of the late Ruth Pitts and Robert Hansell, sister of the late; William Hansell, Theodore Hansell, Walter Hansell, and Donald Pitts.

SURVIVORS: Her loving daughter: Lisa DelVecchio and her son: Gary Parkhurst, Sr., her sister: Roberta Kauffman, her 4 brothers: Robert Hansell, Stanley Hansell, Harvey Pitts, and Jack Pitts, her loving grandchildren: Gary Parkhurst (Missy), Lori Anne Parkhurst, Michael Parkhurst (JoAnna), Steven Parkhurst, Tom DelVecchio,Jr., Tyler DelVecchio, and Taylor DelVecchio, and her great grandchildren: Cole Parkhurst, Xander Parkhurst, Natalie Graziola, Ryan Parkhurst, Chase Parkhurst and Jordan Parkhurst.
