Sophie H. (Tkacz) Wildrick, 78, of Upper Chichester passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Paoli Hospital. She was born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania but spent her summers at the shore in Atlantic City. She was a graduate of Notre Dame girl's High School in Moylan, PA.

Sophie was employed as a hairdresser for more than 50 years.

She lived in Upper Chichester with her loving husband of 59 years. She found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved to cook, fish, paint, garden, travel and loved her summers at the beach. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family. Those moments made her life special.

Sophie absolutely adored her son and grandchildren. They were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. The memories, laughter, and special moments they shared will forever remain in their hearts.

Sophie leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a family who will miss her more than words can express.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John Tkacz and Nellie (Kokoszka) Tkacz and one brother: John Tkacz, Jr. (Gerry)

Survivors: Her beloved husband of 59 years: James E. Wildrick, Jr., one son: James E. Wildrick III (Beth), grandchildren: Brandon (Anthony), Vince, and Camryn, sister-in-law: Diane Dowie, and her niece and nephew: Debbie Civitella (Mike), John J. Tkacz, and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
