Stella (Lupi) Cook, age 92 , died on May 7, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Boothwyn, PA. Stella was one of 4 lady crane operators, working at Penn Steel until it was forced to close due to a fire in 1970. She was a longtime resident of Chester, where she owned and operated Rose's Luncheonette, before moving to Boothwyn. Stella retired from Crozer-Chester Medical Center as a seamstress. She was a member of the Upper Chichester Seniors and St. John Fisher Church and their senior group, St. John's on the Hill. Stella was an avid bingo player who enjoyed the casinos and playing cards with friends at Parkview at Naaman's Creek.
She was the daughter of the late Serafino and Rose (Marchionni) Lupi, wife of the late Guy F. Cook, great grandmother of the late Nicholas Frederick Lupi, and sister of the late Louis, Serafino, Frank, Samuel, and George Lupi, Mary Pisani, and Anne Pryce.
SURVIVORS: 3 children: Rosemary Bordley (Ray), Frederick "Freddie" Lupi (Kathy), and Guianne "Cookie" Koch (Joe); siblings: Teresa Bennish, Eleanor Foth, and Catherine Helm; 6 grandchildren: Steven, Ray, Freddie, Dawn Marie (her loving caregiver), Ro, and Chrissy; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
VISITATION: Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm and Thursday from 8:30-9:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA.
