Stephen L. Poore, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  Stephen was raised in Boothwyn and was a 1958 graduate of Chichester High School. Stephen earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Cheyney University in 1975.  Stephen was the owner and operator of Service Master of Western Delaware County for 15 years. He also was a former teacher in the Chester Upland School District teaching at the Showalter School in Chester. Stephen enjoyed tennis, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his time with family and friends at his home in Ocean City Maryland. He was also a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Aston.

He was the son of the late Richard and Ellen Pusey Poore.

SURVIVORS: His beloved wife of 51 years Martha Wolfe Poore, his loving daughter Jennifer Wilson (Sean), his brother Richard Poore (Diana) and his sister Diane Clendening, his grandchildren Courtney Hill-Nahan (Ian) and Crystal Hill-Horne (Kyle), and great grandchildren Ezekiel, Phoenix Stephen, and Colton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services and Burial are private at the convenience of the family.
