Susan M. Battista, age 68, passed away on July 5, 2024, at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Sue was born and raised in Briarcliffe, PA, before moving to Collingdale, PA, and then Aston, PA. She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School and she earned an Associates Degree from Brandywine College. Sue was a longtime employee of the Crozer Health Network spending most of her career at Delaware County Hospital managing payroll and staffing. Following her retirement in February of 2022, she took on a part-time role at Aronimink Golf Club at their reception desk. In her younger years, Sue was an avid and accomplished bowler, she loved to cook, and volunteer her time. Sue took great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and socializing and dining out with her girlfriends. Sue was beloved by all who met her and will be missed by many. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Francis McCann, Sr. and Bernadette McCann (nee Forquer), her brother Francis McCann, Jr., and her beloved husband of 47 years Robert "Bob" Battista (2022). Survivors: Her Sons: Frank Battista (Crystal) and Joe Battista (Jamie). Grandchildren: Julianna, Avery, Francesca, Joseph, and Jayden. Sister: Bernadette Berger (Barry). Sue is also survived by a multitude of friends, far too many to list. Visitation: Friday, July 12, 2024 9:00am-11:15 at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Friday, July 12, 2024 11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Private. In Lieu of Flowers: Sue's family requests donations in her memory to a charity or foundation of the donor's choice. The family would prefer plants to be sent in lieu of flowers, should you choose to do so.
