Susan Marie Karaszkiewicz (Nee Bergant), age 66, passed away suddenly at her home in Garnet Valley.  Susan was born in Oak Park just outside of Chicago.  She graduated from Resurrection College Prep High School in Chicago in 1973 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Illinois Chicago Circle in 1977.  Susan married Ken in 1982.  Several years later, they moved to Connecticut, where they lived for 13 years.  Susan and Ken have lived in Garnet Valley for the past 22 years.  Susan worked as an art teacher for grade school students for several years before starting a family and raising her 3 children.  Susan enjoyed the Arts.  She loved painting, traveling to Europe, cooking, entertaining, and road trips to visit family and friends.  She was the planner in the family and would have the itinerary set for all trips and adventures.  She enjoyed life, family members, and many friends that she made so easily and was there to brighten the lives of others.  There was nothing Susan would like better than an interesting conversation with a good or new friend.  She could have an engaging conversation with anyone.  Susan's children were the pride and joy of her life.  The legacy of her kind spirit, her passion for the Arts, and zest for life will live on through them.  Susan will be sadly missed by all but never forgotten.

Susan was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Florence M. Ghiselli Bergant.

SURVIVORS: Her loving husband of 39 years Kenneth Karaszkiewicz, her children Karen Kemp (Brian), and twins Steven Karaszkiewicz and Julie Kulp (Ryan). Her sister Linda Bergant Johnson (Craig), her nephew Mark Johnson and niece Lindsay Johnson.

Susan's funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
