Susan "Sue" J. Stretch (nee Stirling), a resident of Aston, passed away peacefully at her home on February 8, 2021.

Born and raised in Ridley Park, PA, Sue graduated from Ridley High School in 1970 and went on to graduate from Chester School of Practical Nursing in 1972. She worked for Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park until the birth of her twins, Walter and Steven, and then worked for Dr. Erb until the birth of her third son, Matthew. After her children were born, she returned to Taylor Hospital and worked in the short procedure unit until her retirement in 2015. After her retirement, she worked as a part-time substitute crossing-guard for the Penn Delco School District.

Sue enjoyed spending time with her husband, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and friends. She loved camping, the beach, reading, taking vacations with family and friends, chocolate, a glass of wine, and 3 mile walks every day for the past 30 years with her friend, Elaine Teefey.

Sue was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Stirling (nee Hoffecker), and wife of the love of her life for 46 years, the late Walter Stretch, who passed away in March 2020.

Survivors: Sons: Walter Stretch (Helene), Steven Stretch (Kristen), and Matthew Stretch (Sandra); Grandchildren: Stevie, Trip, Gavin, Noah, Sadie, Logan, and Jessica; Brother: Rick Stirling (Michelle); Sister-in-Law: Ruth Shoup; and many nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 9:45-10:45 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Service and Burial: Private.
