It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan M. Turek (nee Finnegan), aged 58, who peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on April 24, 2026. A beloved wife, daughter, and friend, Susan was born in Philadelphia and spent her formative years in Yeadon. After graduating from St. Lawrence Parochial School and later from Sun Valley High School in Aston in 1988, she found her home in Upper Chichester, where she lived for the past 20 years.
Susan dedicated her life to the retail industry, most recently working at the snack shop at Riddle Hospital, where her kind spirit and gentle demeanor touched the lives of both colleagues and customers alike. She embraced life's simple pleasures, cherishing her time at the beach, enjoying trips to the casinos, and passionately rooting for her favorite football teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers. Alongside her husband Arthur, with whom she shared 20 wonderful years, Susan loved to embark on road trips across the United States, creating countless cherished memories.
A devoted member of St. Francis DeSales Church in Lenni, Susan held her faith and community close to her heart. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maria Bottari Finnegan, whose spirit she carries forward.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Arthur Turek; her father, Francis Finnegan; her brother Frank Finnegan (Paulina); her niece Sabrina and nephew Matthew; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
In honor of Susan's life and legacy, funeral services will be held at St. Francis DeSales Church on April 30, 2026. A public visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan's honor to Vitas Hospice Donations, reflecting her compassionate spirit and commitment to caring for others.
Susan's warm smile and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
