Tirsia Berardi Penna "Terri," age 85, passed away on June 18, 2025, at Wilmington Hospital. Terri was raised in Upper Darby, PA, and was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from Bloomsburg University. Terri dedicated many years of her career to elementary education, working at Merion Mercy Academy, Merion, PA, and Highland Park Elementary School within the Upper Darby, PA School District.

She was a lifelong lover of learning and culture, with a deep appreciation for literature - fiction, nonfiction, and biographies alike. She found beauty in the arts, particularly in impressionist paintings, and had a keen eye for antiques and historical pieces. Terri was also deeply interested in poetry and archaeology. Her passion for music spanned many genres, including contemporary, pop, Broadway show tunes, and film soundtracks. Movies were another favorite pastime; she delighted in watching all types of films, especially mysteries, dramas, romances, and comedies. Terri was a woman of strong faith and a devoted parishioner of Presentation BVM Roman Catholic Church in Havertown, PA, where she taught CCD.

She was the daughter of the late George and Eva (née Catroppa) Berardi and was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Anthony James Penna (2017).

Survivors: Her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert A. Penna; her loving children: Dr. Robert A. Penna (Melanie A. Penna) and Stephanie Penna Lutz (John T. Lutz, Esq.); and her cherished grandchildren: John Robert Lutz, Christopher Evan Lutz, and Gabrielle Marie Penna.

Visitation: Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19807.

Funeral Mass: Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church.

Burial: St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington, DE 19807.
