Gertrude M. "Trudy" Berman, age 78, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Maris Grove in Glen Mills, PA. Trudy was born in Darby, PA, to her beloved parents, the late Elmer and Catherine Eckman and was a graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1964. She was a devoted and caring homemaker, raising and nurturing her children with the help of her husband, Al. In her free time, Trudy enjoyed entertaining, cooking, baking, sewing, and doing crafts. Over the years Al and Trudy spent many relaxing trips at their homes in Florida and the Jersey Shore.

Trudy loved to be involved with the community, serving as an active member of the Garnet Valley High School Band Parents Association for many years and she was also actively involved in the County Corvette Association Car Club. A devout Christian, Trudy took great pride in being a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Glen Mills, PA, attending mass every Sunday. Above all else, Trudy loved her family and friends, especially her 6 grandchildren, and was her happiest in their presence. Trudy was the heart and soul of her family, always selflessly putting others first, and living every day with a song on her lips and happiness radiating from her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, the late Joan Miller and Thomas Eckman.

Survivors: Her loving husband: Albert Berman. Children: Debbie Goettlicher (Shane), Scott Berman, and Lori Giandonato (Grant). Grandchildren: Kyle, Casey, and Carson Goettlicher, Morgan Berman, and Zoe and Ava Giandonato. Siblings: Mary Lou Strobel and James Eckman (Barbara).

Visitation: Thursday, September 18, 2025, 10:45am-12:15pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342. Funeral Mass: Thursday, September 18, 2025, 12:30pm, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial: St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.
