Vincent L. Barbacane, age 94, a well known Delaware County Tavern owner, died April 26, 2016 at Granite Farms Estates. Vince was raised and educated in Chester where he lived for many years before moving to Middletown Twp. Vince served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a longtime tavern owner in the city of Chester owning and operating "The Crystal Bar". Mr. Barbacane was a past president of the Delaware County Tavern Association and was a parishioner of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Lenni.
He was the son of the late Donato and Louise (DiPietro) Barbacane and was preceded in death by 7 siblings.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife: Shirley (Murphy) Barbacane, Children: Robert Barbacane (Michele), Nancy Nelson (Coby), Linda Clark (Thomas), and Tim Barbacane (Robin), Grandchildren: Erin Marcellus (Jason), Ryan Barbacane (Courtney), Heather Sorensen (Max), Christopher Clark, Alexandra & Matthew Barbacane and 8 great grandchildren.
