Walter Atwood Wallace 85 of Wilmington, De.
Walter A. Wallace passed away peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2015 at Cadia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Walter was born on December 1, 1929 in Chester, PA. He was the son of the late Susie Belle & William F. Wallace and graduated from Chester High School in 1948. After high school, Walter served overseas in the US Air Force for 4 years. Walter was employed for more than 30 years at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, De., and retired in 1993. He was a 50 year member of the Penns Lodge # 709 F & AM. He enjoyed golf, bowling, travel, vacations in Jamaica and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Susie Belle Bengisser, and sister in law, Mabel (Taylor).
Walter is survived by his wife, Jean (Holm) of Wilmington, 2 brothers, William F. and Robert (Shirley) of Aston, PA., his son, David (Valerie) and 2 grandsons, David and Eric, of Claymont, De.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd. 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston.
MASONIC SERVICE: Tuesday 10:00 am from the funeral home
FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday 10:10 am from the funeral home
BURIAL: Edgewood Memorial Gardens, Glen Mills.
