William B. Gifford "Bill", age 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 28, 2016. Bill was raised in Wittman, MD – Eastern Shore. He was a lifelong resident of Chester before moving to Crum Lynne. Bill was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Eddystone and a former member of St. Michael's Church, Chester. He was an avid fisherman, sports fan, and was a past manager and coach for the Chester East Little League. Bill was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Polish American Club in Clifton Heights and Chester. He worked at Sun Shipbuilding Company and retired from the Chester Housing Authority.

He was the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (nee Beecraft) Gifford. He was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors: Wife: Jeanette (nee DeSanctis); Children: Tonia Gifford Muir (Dennis), William "Butch" Gifford (Iris), and Jana Gifford Law (Carlos); Siblings: John, Walt, Thomas, and Mildred; Grandchildren: Kristin, Butch Jr., Lauren, and Chase; Great Grandchildren: Brayden and Jackson; Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Saturday from 9-11:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday at 11:30 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd. BURIAL: Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
