William R. Hurst age 77, passed away peacefully, on February 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born, raised, and educated in Paulsboro, NJ, Bill graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1963. He honorably served in the United States Air Force immediately following graduation. Later he returned to school and earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Widener College in 1977. Bill moved to Linwood and has been a resident of Upper Chichester for over 50 years. He worked for Clifton Precision in Clifton Heights and also in North Carolina for many years until retirement. Bill loved baseball. He enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play in little league over the years. He also was a baseball card collector. Most of all he was a family oriented man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed by all but not forgotten. He was the son of the late Robert W. and Florence E. "Betty" Hardy Hurst. Brother of the late Mary Stetka, Margaret Macklin and Patricia Hurst. SURVIVORS: His beloved wife of 59 years Lois Whiteley Hurst, his children Michelle Talley, Robert Hurst, and Susan Hurst. Siblings Anne Flegel and Richard Hurst. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. VISITATION: Tuesday February 14, 2023 from 10-11:00am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston.
