Babbetta Mary (Lewis) Aiello

Babbetta "Betty" Aiello, age 81, passed away on January 28, 2023, at her home in Media, PA. Babbetta was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and was a graduate of West Catholic High School. She was a former teacher's aide at Main Street Elementary School in Upland PA during the late 1970's. Babbetta then worked in Childcare at the Four Seasons Racquetball Club from 1980 until her retirement in 2004. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the Christmas season. Babbetta loved everyone's children. In her early years she spent her time as a Boyscout and Girlscout Leader. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, sewing, and crocheting. She cherished her memories and chats with her lifelong friend Nancy Mancer and always loved spending time with her best friend Agnes Kelley, and we cannot forget her beloved cat, Sammie.

She was the daughter of the late William and Babbetta (Ruh) Lewis, wife of the late Anthony Aiello, and sister of the late Joseph Lewis.

Survivors: Children: Bernie Maher of Media, PA, Colleen (Joe) Fanelli of Exton, PA, Cathy Devine of Wilmington, DE, Beth (Scott) Davis of Dover, DE, and Patti Fox of West Virginia. Grandchildren: John Devine of Dover, DE, Ashleigh Paslay (Dan) of Claymont, DE, Joleen Fanelli of Exton, PA, Fallon Fanelli of Exton, PA, Michael Donovan of Wilmington, DE, Connor Davis of Dover, DE, and Kiera Davis of Dover, DE. Great Grandchildren: Juliet Paslay and Daniel Paslay.

Graveside Service and Burial: Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:45am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Bailey Rd., Yeadon, PA 19050. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in Babbetta's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org. Condolences: www.nolanfidale.com.
