Diane B. (Pennewill) Dougherty

Diane B. (Pennewill) Dougherty age 84, a longtime resident of Brookhaven passed away peacefully at her home on September 8,2023 with her loving family by her side. Diane graduated from Chester High School and worked for a short period of time at Bell Telephone. In her earlier years Diane was a Cub Scout Den Mother, she enjoyed doing ceramics and sewing blankets for others to enjoy. She was an avid Philadelphia sports enthusiast and was a member of Our Lady of Charity Catholic Church in Brookhaven.

Diane's life revolved around her children and grandchildren; she found great joy in attending all of their sporting events and especially giving them their treat bags after each game! For more than 20 years Diane cared for many children who affectionately called her "Aunt Diane".



Diane was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dougherty who died in 2022.


She is survived by her 5 children who will dearly miss her: Ronald, Michael, Judy Jones, Gary (Sinead), and Jennifer Cunrod (Steve); her 10 grandchildren: Michael (Liz), Erin, Tara (Tom), Nicholas, Kasey, Leanna, Kayla, Olivia, Kieran, and Jacob; 10 great-grandchildren: Michael Jr., Hayden, Claire, Vivian, Emma, Zoe, Matthew, Maddison, MacKenzie, and Carter, and her 2 sisters: Barbara Glodek and Dorothy Culp(Don) as well as many nieces and nephews.


Visitation: Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm and Friday, September 15, 2023 from 9:00-10:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Liturgy: Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:15am Nolan-Fidale. Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers: Memorial Donations may be made in Diane's name to The White Clay School for Autistic Students 620 South Union Street Kennett Square, PA 19348 and The Parkinson's Foundation
