Joseph A. Platt, age 61, a longtime resident of Brookhaven, passed away on February 4, 2019 at home with his family by his side after a brief illness.  Joe graduated from St. James Boy's High School and Widener University in Chester, PA. He was currently employed as a locksmith by Merck Pharmaceuticals. Joe was a member of the Hanley Hose Fire Co., the Brookhaven Fire Co., Merck Fire Brigade, and the Knights of Columbus, Americus Council #242.  Joe's enjoyments included spending time with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, golfing, going to the beach, and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors: His wife of 40 years: Patricia (Johnson) Platt; his 3 sons: Joseph Jr. (Nicole), Thomas (Leighann), and Brian Platt (Jill); his mother: Jeannette (Lastowka) Platt (predeceased father Lawrence Platt); his 6 brothers and sisters, and his 5 beloved grandchildren.

VISITATION: Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9:30-11:45 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston. FUNERAL LITURGY: Saturday at 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial: Private.
