Lloyd Kolachny, Sr., age 84, a resident of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023 at his home.
Lloyd was born in Elsworth, Kansas and attended John Bartram High School in Philadelphia, PA, class of 1955. Following high school, Lloyd joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country from 1956 to 1960. He then went on to work for PECO until his retirement.
Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of love for nature, a deep connection to the wilderness, and cherished memories of his time spent hunting and exploring the mountains in Bradford County, PA, and enjoying the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his dogs, Toby and Gunner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myra Kolachny; his siblings, Norma Jean Kolachny, Frank Kolachny and Shirley Ann Standen; and his grandson, Dennis Speakman, Jr.
Lloyd is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Mary Jane; children, Deborah Maloney (Craig), Beverly Speakman (Dennis) and Lloyd Kolachny (Anita); 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
