Margaret L. (Flood) Mattox

Margaret L. " Peggy" (Flood) Mattox, age 67, a longtime resident of Linwood, PA, passed away on January 11, 2023. Raised and educated in Swarthmore, PA, Peggy graduated from Swarthmore High School and then Lebanon Valley College. For many years, Peggy worked at Cigna Insurance followed by Hay Group in Philadelphia, PA. She most recently worked as an Administrative Assistant for Swarthmore United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing clarinet in the Chichester High School Alumni band, although she didn't attend the school. Peggy was a proud member of the Robert Morris Quaker City chapter of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Peggy was very involved in Linwood Heights United Methodist Church. She was a twenty-five year member; a Christ Servant Minister; The Leader of JOY Circle; Church Council Chairperson; an equalizing lay delegate to the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference; and member of our choir. She will be missed for all those roles she played among us but most of all we will miss the witness of her smile and her confidence and joy with which she served us all.

Peggy is the daughter of the late Stewart and Margaret (Garris) Flood.

Visitation: Saturday, January 21, 2022, 10:00am-11:00am at Linwood United Methodist Church, 1627 Chichester Ave, Linwood, PA 19061. Celebration of Life: Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00am at Linwood United Methodist Church.
