Mary Morrison

Mary Imburgia Morrison, age 82, a resident of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was raised in Linwood, PA, and was a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic Girls High School. In her retirement, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and her cats, as well as travelling with her husband, Bill. In their travels they visited Paris, Italy, Belgium, New York, and their favorite, Ireland. They also enjoyed taking local trips to Lancaster with their grandchildren. Mary was extremely charitable, donating to and supporting many causes throughout the years, in addition to supporting the arts, especially Opera, and her favorite tenor, Pavarotti. She took great pride in rooting on her Philadelphia sports teams, including her favorite player Allen Iverson. Mary was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Wilmington, DE.

Mary was the daughter of the late John and Mary Imburgia, and sister of the late Teresa DiCandilo.

Survivors: Her beloved husband of 60 years, William Morrison. Children: Jill Morrison, Jeffrey Morrison (Sharon), and Megan McClelland (George). Brother: John "Jackie" Imburgia. Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Morrison and Andrew Morrison. She is also survived by her two cats, Oliver and Buster Brown.

Visitation: Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014 and Friday November 10, 2023 from 11:30am - 12:30pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish 4701 Weldin Rd. Wilmington, DE 19803. Funeral Mass: Friday November 10, 2023 at 12:30pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Burial: Private. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to Delaware Hospice at www.delawarehospice.org/donate. Mary's family would like to thank the entire Delaware Hospice team, but especially Melissa for the wonderful care she provided.
