Naomi Barrow

 Naomi E. Barrow, age 93, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on August 2, 2022. A resident of Downingtown for 64 years, she recently moved in with her daughter, Ruth, in Aston, PA. Naomi was raised in Floral Park, NY where she was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School. She graduated from The Mannes Music School, New York, NY, allowing her to play and teach piano. She did office and retail work at times when raising a family was not her primary focus. Naomi was never without a needlework project whether it be knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, or sewing, gifting the results to her family and friends. She was well-known for her cooking and baking skills. She had a passion for RV travel, visiting 49 states with her husband. One of the five original families who founded Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Malvern, she served as an organist for 55 years, played hand bells, and was an integral part of the music ministry there along with her husband.
Naomi was the daughter of the late Rose and Norman Degen, loving wife of 67 years to the late Edward A. Barrow and grandmother of the late Michele Lesher (nee Blundin). 

Naomi is survived by her loving daughters, Ruth Blundin (Brent), Althea Kotroba (Steven), and Janet Reynolds (Scott); her siblings, Bruce Degen and Joan Eggert (Arthur); her six grandchildren, Andrew Hoopes, Jennifer Kranyak (nee Blundin), Matthew Blundin, Erika Kotroba, Veronica Herring (nee Reynolds), and Dean Reynolds; eleven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 AM, preceded by visitation at 10:00 AM, at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 89 Line Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
