Regina "Gina" Muir

December 29, 1955 ~ September 4, 2023 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Obituary

In Loving Memory of Regina "Gina" Theresa (Leisey) Muir.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Gina, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 67.
Gina was born on December 29, 1955 to Doris and Charles Leisey. She was a lifelong "Hooker" born and raised in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Chichester High School and a lifelong member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Her warmth, kindness, generous spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends were her defining characteristics. She was not just a sister, but a confidante, a source of endless support, and a cherished friend to many.

Family, friends, her cat (Miss Kitty, Irene), the Phillies, and the Eagles were at the center of Gina's world. Her bonds with her brother, Chuck (deceased), sister Becky (deceased) and her cousin Patty, were unbreakable. Gina loved watching football - she always won her football pools but her loyalty belonged to the Philadelphia Eagles. She was looking forward to the upcoming season and the Eagles win in Superbowl LVIII (you read it first, here).

Gina made friends easily with her genuine kindness and compassion. She was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone who needed it. She gave so freely anything she had to offer, anything you needed, anything at all, even if it meant she went without.

Gina is survived by her little sisters, Sandy (Rob) Chester and Anna (Jim) Jennings, her cat, her 9 nieces and nephews who she was so proud of and loved immensely and her 8 great nieces and nephews.

Gina was predeceased by her parents, Charles Leisey, Doris and Whitey Boyer, her brother, Chuck Leisey and her sister, Becky Croff. Losing her mom, brother and sister left an undeniable void in Gina's heart and life.

Burial will be private and will take place on Thursday, September 14th. Friends and family will be invited to join us in remembering and celebrating Gina at a celebration of life party to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania in Gina's honor.

Rest in peace, dear sister. You will always be our guiding light, and your love and kindness will continue to inspire us every day.
