Robert J. "Bonk" Bonkowski age 74 passed away on September 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at his home in West Chester, PA. Robert was raised in Brookhaven and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School class of 1965 where he was a member of their football team. Robert retired from Kimberly Clark after 40 years of service and was a resident of West Chester, PA for the last 28 years. He enjoyed gardening, muscle cars, attending car shows, going to the beach, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. Bonk was a well known all around "mister fixit'!! He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in West Chester, PA.
Robert is the son of the late Joseph and Julia Bonkowski, and brother of the late Joseph Bonkowski.
He is survived by his loving wife Lucretia (Sahadi) Bonkowski, his children: Michael Bonkowski (Judith), Tracy Kunca, and Noelle Mattus (Nicholas), his sister: Eleanor Laskoski, his sister-in-law: Donna Bonkowski, and his loving grandchildren: Ryan and Derek Kunca, Alexa Mattus, Bret Bonkowski, Alana Savva, and Madalena, Giuliana, and Sofia Giannone.
Visitation: Friday, September 30, 2022 from 6:30-8:00pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014 and Saturday October 1, 2022 from 9:45-10:15am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382. Funeral Mass: Saturday, October 1,2022 at 10:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Burial: at a later date.
