Robert Joseph "Bobby" Brown, age 85, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 31, 2023 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Bobby was a 1956 graduate of Roman Catholic High School. Bobby also resided in Sharon Hill for 37 years, Ridley Park , and most recently he lived in Glen Mills for the past 2 years. He was employed by The Boeing Company where he worked for almost 30 years before retiring in 2004. Bobby was a member of the American Legion Post 777 Crum Lynne, several VFW posts, the Knights of Columbus, and was a CCD director for more than 20 years at Holy Spirit Church, Sharon Hill. Bobby also loved to spend the summers at his home in Pot Nets, Delaware with his family and friends. He was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Sharon Hill, St. Rose of Lima Church, Eddystone, and most recently St Thomas the Apostle, Glen Mills. Bobby was also a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp.
Bobby was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Lynagh Brown, and his brothers Bernard and John Brown.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 58 years Rosalie Settembrino Brown, his children Stephen Brown (Stacey), Colleen Nancarrow (Adam), and Anthony Brown (Melanie), his siblings Josephine Haux, AnnaMae Celenza, William Brown, Daniel Brown, Maureen O'Leary, and Dolores Christman, he is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 9:15-10:45 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills.
FUNERAL MASS: Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
BURIAL: St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery, Glen Mills.
