Robert W. Downie

Robert W. Downie, age 77, a resident of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on April 3, 2023, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Chester, PA, and was a graduate of Chester High School. Prior to his retirement, Robert worked as a Lead Maintenance Technician for the Exelon Company. In his free time, Robert enjoyed bird watching, watching John Wayne movies, and collecting guns. He also loved driving and collecting Corvettes and was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He was a member of the Elam United Methodist Church.

Robert was the son of the late John and Margaret Downie, and brother of the late Jack Downie.

Survivors: Wife: Beverly Downie. Daughter: Ashley Zaborowski (Kevin). Grandchildren: Evelyn and Austyn Zaborowski. Sister: Susanne DeLeone. He is also survived by many nieces.

Visitation: Friday, April 7, 2023 from 9:30am - 11:00am at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
