Stephan “Steve” DiFabio, 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Riddle Hospital Hospice Care after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was born on January 27, 1961, in Aston, Pennsylvania. He was the fifth of eight children of Henry and Harriet (Lewis) DiFabio and the late Catherine (Opdenaker) DiFabio. Steve is survived by his son, Jamie (Allison Briggs); and grandchildren Makinley, Seamus, David and Sophia. He was loved by his brothers and sisters, John, Peter, Henry (Marianne), Rita (Scott) Shaffer, Andrea, Louis (Brian Gainey), Francis; and many nieces and nephews.
Steve attended Sun Valley High School and was a Landscape Architect. He enjoyed growing up with his large family, spending time fishing, and searching for treasures while using his metal detector. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Steve followed the lord fiercely and attended The Bridge Church. Steve lovingly was an organ donor and shared the gift of life upon his passing providing his corneas to two recipients.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:45 at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston. Memorial services will be on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:45am at the funeral home. Steve will be laid to rest at 12:00 on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Rd., Linwood.
