Theodore Edward Emery died peacefully on January 27 surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old.
Ted was born and raised in Highland Park, Upper Darby, PA and graduated from Upper Darby High School.
After high school, Ted enlisted in the United States Navy. Ted was proud of his time in the Navy and service to his country. While stationed in San Diego, CA, he met the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Rose Marie Musgrave.
After a Las Vegas chapel wedding, New Year's Eve elopement, Ted and Rose made their way to Delaware County, PA, eventually settling in Brookhaven where they raised their two sons.
Ted worked for several Teamsters truck delivery services before retiring from Trans Freight Systems.
Ted's most enjoyable times were when he was spending time with family, fishing in Delaware Bay, and cheering on his favorite Philadelphia sports teams, Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers.
For many years Ted's passion was adopting rescue Golden Retrievers who had spent their early years as service dogs. Ted would take them in and make sure their days were enjoyable, comfortable, filled with love, play time and long walks.
Ted is predeceased by his mother Evelyn Ross and father Theodore Emery and sister Marie Nachtigal, as well as his sister-in-law Marilyn Liebel and her husband Ted, and brother-in-law William Musgrave.
