Thomas (T.J.) Carney Obituary

Thomas (T.J.) John Carney, Jr., age 36, passed away on November 30, 2022. T.J. was raised in Lansdale, PA, and was a graduate of North Penn High School. He was extremely intelligent, in grade school he earned the President's Award from President Clinton for Academic Achievement. T.J. was a great basketball player and played for the Towamencin Youth Association during Middle School and High School with his beloved friends, the Woodlawn Crew. He was also in the YMCA Leaders Club and was a club president. T.J. was active in the Boys and Girls Club as a kid and became president of their Touch Club. His interest soon turned to Computers and Graphic Design. He earned a full scholarship to study Computer Engineering at Temple University. T.J. was known for his passion and skill with Graphic Design and fixing computers. T.J. loved working with kids and donated many hours of his time to working with the Children's Special Olympics. He also loved sitcoms, movies, rap music, his family, and his dogs.

T.J. was the son of the late Thomas John Carney, Sr., brother of the late Jerry Charles "Chucky" Anderson, and grandson of the late Frederick Cuga.

Survivors: Mother: Renae Loretta Anderson, Siblings: Michael Andrew Carney, Noelle Renae Carney, Stephen Palmer, and Kelli Carney. Grandparents: Loretta and Robert O'Connor and Elizabeth Cuga, as well as many other loving family members.

Visitation: Thursday, December 8, 2022 10:30am-11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service. Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in T.J.'s memory to the Savannah Mission Bible Training Center, 1000 East Victory Dr., Savannah, GA 31405, checks can be made payable to Mission Teens Inc. and/or U Turn For Christ Christian Drug & Alcohol Rehab, 515 South 6th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042, checks can be made payable to U Turn For Christ PA.
